30 years of experience in the CEO driver’s seat and consulting for non-profit organizations in very diverse sectors with complex issues gives me a deep understanding of the industry.
You want to utilize best practices, invest in the right initiatives and maintain services amidst external issues, staffing and cultural challenges, and infrastructure deficits.
I offer an impactful resource to you and your organization's deep understanding of its maturity and capacity for resilience, sustainability and growth.
How I enter a system:
1
I start with you. Discovery begins with your story, capturing your aspirations, beliefs and values. Appreciative Inquiry with the CEO/ED and Board of Directors will focus on the perceived positive operational, vitality, capacity, and possibilities of the organization.
2
Next the organization, at all levels, will participate in a formal organizational assessment developed by the McKinsey Institute to take a realistic look at where the organization is today. This becomes a springboard for where it can go next. This critical step is a necessary part to strengthen the organization's ability to optimize programming, organizational performance and financial results. The right Organizational Assessment is critical in these important moments in time:
Leadership Transition
-
What core competencies does your next leader need to be successful?
-
What priorities/issues do they need to solve?
-
What skills does your next leader need to best serve the community?
-
Clarifying the board's role in moving the organization forward
-
Developing a realistic organizational profile for leadership recruitment
Capacity Building / Strategic Planning
-
What is your ability for growth & change?
-
Identifying funding needs in well-defined areas to assure best use of funds
-
Setting your sights on impactful goals, plans, pathways, programs to move the organization forward
-
Supporting/coaching the CEO/ED and Board regarding business decisions with the greatest impact
-
Identifying new streams of income to fund changes necessary to move forward
Change Management
-
Assists leadership in understanding where the organization is in its maturity and its capacity for sustainability and growth
-
Examines the organization's strengths, opportunities, and capacity for short-term and long-term growth
-
Leads to small and large transformational "collaborative" changes in organizational systems, practices, and processes
-
Creates organization-wide alignment around strategic direction and system-wide actions

"KC is an astute business leader, a quick study, an excellent judge of character, and someone whose high expectations of herself, and those around her, elevate the organization and the teams that she leads. During her leadership she demonstrated a clear commitment to the long-term success of our organization, and that she was willing to place the success of the organization above all else. I am also thankful for her mentorship. She shared her understanding of organizational structure and business strategy with me in ways that helped me expand my own confidence in organizational leadership and strategy. Not simply telling me, but coaching me, and providing me the support to implement and make many decisions and changes myself."
